Chilliwack RCMP used a Taser Monday afternoon to subdue a 29-year-old man in a store who they say was "extremely agitated, aggressive and combative" with two officers. Police were called to the business in the 45800-block Airport Road in Chilliwack at about 3:30 p.m. RCMP spokeswoman Cst. Lea-Anne Dunlop says the Mounties tried to control the man by physical force, but were unable to do so. They resorted to pepper spray, Taser and baton, but still weren't able to subdue the suspect. The man was finally taken into custody only after a radio call for backup. Dunlop says the suspect was sent to hospital for treatment of undetermined injuries, and to assess his mental state. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
