California man dies after deputies use stun guns

A Stockton man has died after being hit with a Taser by deputies who were attempting to arrest him. The 45-year-old man died last night. The San Joaquin Sheriff's department says they got a call about a man acting 'crazy', damaging property and stealing a bicycle. When deputies arrived, they tried to arrest him but he resisted. That's when deputies shot him with a Taser, but it was 'ineffective', according to the Sheriff's dept. The man was then physically taken into custody. Deputies then noticed he was having trouble breathing. An ambulance was called but the man later died at a local hospital. The man's death is now being investigated. The cause of death is pending an autopsy and toxicology reports.
