Interesting comments on the Toronto Star website today:
"It amazes me that countless cases of deaths by tasers was not enough evidence to get the RCMP to smarten up. A simple memo by Taser International results in immediate action. Just who do the Police work for?"
"As a police officer, I can tell you that this new guideline will not be well implemented on the streets. Aiming for other than centre of mass (the chest) runs against the training of all other weapons that the police use. Muscle memory and instinctive aiming would have to be overcome - highly unlikely - it would be like trying to tell a hockey player that he can aim a slapshot at the top corner because he might hit the goalie in the head."
