Vancouver's mayor is not convinced about the safety of tasers despite hearing a presentation from police at their monthly board meeting.
Gregor Robertson says the most precautionary approach right now is a moratorium on taser use, at least until the Braidwood Inquiry comes up with recommendations.
"Until we have a definitive report on this from the Braidwood Inquiry, endorsing their use to me is not the most precautionary way to go."
Vancouver Police say tasers are effective, reduce injuries and save lives.
