In memory of our brother and son, Robert Bagnell,
who died moments after being tasered by police in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 23, 2004. Bob was the 7th Canadian to die and the 110th in North America.
I knew Ronald Petruney and he was as far as I knew borderline mentally retarded. As well he was epileptic.
According to what I've read, he had just taken a siezure. Even if he was combative..how could shocking a man who just had a siezure be within the training guidelines for taser usage.
How many people have to die because it's an easier safer approach for police to taser a man.
