Javier Aguilar, 46, refused to go with officers from the Roswell Police Department. Police said Aguilar fought with officers after they showed up at his apartment Thursday. Interim Police Chief Scott Douglass said officers used pepper spray, batons and a Taser to place Aguilar in handcuffs. Aguilar died at a hospital emergency room 40 minutes later. Douglass said the cause of death hasn't been determined. He said officers followed the department's policies perfectly.
